Summer Solstice 108 Sun Salutations
led by the Eastside Karmany Teachers
The number 108 is believed to represent spritual completion. 108 is a Harshad Number, an integer divisible by the sum of its digits. Harshad in Sanskrit means “joy-giver.” In yogic tradition we practice 108 sun salutations to mark the beginning of a new season, whether earthly season or season of life. Does this sound daunting? Absolutely! It’s an intense pracice that requires intense focus that will invigorate your whole self — mind, body and spirit — hence “joy-giver!”
Open to all levels. Take breaks when needed and plenty of modifications will be offered.
